Khibiny Open Cup 2012
28 марта – 1 апреля 2012 года на склонах горы Кукисвумчорр пройдет VIII Открытый Кубок Хибин по фрирайду (Freeride Khibiny Open Cup) и фрирайд-лагерь.
OpenCup – соревнования по внетрассовому спуску на горных лыжах и сноуборде, которые традиционно проходят в начале апреля в Хибинах. За годы успешного проведения соревнований OpenCup не только приобрел репутацию популярного контеста, но и стал легендарным местом встречи фрирайдеров всей страны и зарубежья. OpenCup – одно из немногих мероприятий такого рода в России и единственное в северо-западном регионе, где профессиональные и непрофессиональные райдеры могут помериться силами и испытать свои возможности.
OpenCup – соревнования с многолетней историей. За последние семь лет количество участников увеличилось с 30 до 150 человек. Помимо участников OpenCup с каждым сезоном привлекает все больше желающих покорить крутые склоны Кукисвумчорра и насладиться незабываемым зрелищем сотязаний фрирайдеров. Для них с 28 марта по 1 апреля 2012 года параллельно с VIII Открытым Кубком Хибин пройдет фрирайд-лагерь.

Freeride Khibiny Open Cup is pleased to welcome freeriders for the following events:
VIII Freeride Khibiny Open Cup - for nonprofessional riders
Khibiny Cup Freride World Qualifier - for professional riders
Freeride Camp above the Arctic Circle - for everybody

The camp program:
The next year (2012) event format will expand to the real freeride camp, which have to take place during 5-6 days and nights. It’ll include not only the contest itself (like last year), but also lots of fascinating events that’ll occur parallel to the main competition.
Several recreative areas will be arranged at the foot of the Kukisvumchorr mountain on the “twenty-fifth mile” slope – the starting point for all members of our camp (athletes, spectators or just freeride lovers). Recreative areas allow you to make a full plunge into the positive atmosphere of the event.
During the whole day you can run eXtreme-cafe with hot, tonic and soft drinks, food and cool music. For those who are tired of ride or who have finished the competition – we offer a “snow-chill-out”, where you can lie on the couch, watch interesting movies, play PSP or just chat with friends.
The most tireless riders can try “mini – snow park”, specially prepared for the “Khibiny Open Cup” freeride camp. The snow park will also carry a freestyle contest.
And some cool staff for the unique extreme lovers. You’ll have a «Snow zorbing» contest and speedy belly-ride championship.
For everybody, without exception, every-day parties in the best traditions of the Khibiny Open Cup with the video demonstration, sponsor gifts, drinks and contests, smiles, dances and the most positive music from DJs, who are in the subject line!
