Freeride Khibiny Open Cup is skiing and snowboarding off-piste competition traditionally taking place off the marked-out slopes on the Kukisvumchorr mountain (Kola peninsula, Russia) in spring. After several consecutive successful years the event has not only gained a reputation as a famous contest but has also become a legendary meeting point for the Russian and international riders. OpenCup is one of the few Russian event of this kind and a unique in the North-West Russia where experienced professional and non-professional riders can measure swords and demonstrate what freeriding to perfection really means.
OpenCup has a long history. For the last seven years the number of participants increase from 30 to 150 riders. Every season the event attracts more and more spectators.
