Freeride Khibiny Open Cup

28 March — 1 April 2012 VIII Freeride Khibiny Open Cup will be held off the marked-out slopes on the Kukisvumchorr mountain (Kola peninsula, Russia).
OpenCup is skiing and snowboarding off-piste competition traditionally taking place in Khibiny mountains in April. After several consecutive successful years the event has not only gained a reputation as a famous contest but has also become a legendary meeting point for the Russian and international riders. OpenCup is one of the few Russian event of this kind and a unique in the North-West Russia where experienced professional and non-professional riders can measure swords and demonstrate what freeriding to perfection really means.
OpenCup has a long history. For the last seven years the number of participants increase from 30 to 150 riders. Every season the event attracts more and more spectators. Special for them Freeride Camp will be held in the frame of the Khibiny Open Cup from 28 March to 1 April 2012.
